Good day, sir.
I am unsure if it has ever happened to me before, but in my first class of the day, a difficult linguistics course, the teacher came in and began talking about the quiz we'd had last week. He said it was good, then stopped himself. He said the average score was only 65 so it wasn't good, and that there was only 1 perfect score.
I got the only perfect score.
I thought for sure I got 2 wrong before he handed them out, but I will take it. It also makes me wonder how you could only get 65%. I could understand the 2 Chinese girls that sit behind me, because he flies through the content, and they're playing "catch up" with the language a bit, but all the others...they must not have studied at all.
I don't expect to do as well on the next test. It's of a much more difficult subset. Strict grammatical parts of speech and the linguistic references to them in the field of linguistics. We'll see.
Then in the Practicum for the Master's today, I found out I was the only one to have uploaded any of the required journals. Some teachers said they didn't even know about it.
And I thought I was over-run.
Need to up my game...and win the fucking lottery.
