Picture This

So I didn't win anything in the Korean picture contest.  I probably should have entered some pictures with a larger scope.  None of the winners really blew me away this year, where as last year's winners and the previous year's winners seemed more impressive.

I suppose as long as I keep it in mind, maybe I have some other photos that would work for next year's contest, since they basically take photos from the whole previous part of the year.  Either way, you gotta try, right?

You can see this year's and previous year's winners here.

Here are the photos I entered:

I knew the first one, taken in Baegyangsa National Park, was too sharp, and while I liked the color, I probably should have included it.  The BnW one from the little temple above Hwasun was too vague, but I liked it.

The green one from Ssangbongsa I really like.  It's crisp, and it was a great little temple.  The one of the shoreline I thought might have the best chance.  I love the contrast of colors and it looked just like that when I took the picture.  It was really windy that day in Sokcho.

The last one was one I felt might have a chance, due to it being Admiral Yi Sun Shin.  It was taken down by the MyeongRyeong Strait in and near Jindo and I took it from a distance as the sun was just beginning to fade.  I thought it turned out well.

The ones below are some that I considered but passed up.  Maybe I should have used some of them?
