Reality

Reality has set in like a bad Monday.
And it's Monday.
Those two facts alone make me want to start drinking.

It's not like I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk here in the school.
I am most usually getting things ready in the morning, and then off teaching my classes.
At some point, however, I have to come back, work on lessons, etc and that's okay.
Other than the fact that I feel like I am slowly being squeezed out.

It's like they keep pushing certain things to see how I will react
My desk is loaded with a shitload of books from the previous teacher (and who knows who else)
and it also houses the main printer, and a big 5 plug outlet for said printer, and now a router,
because the internet didn't work in my laptop unless I took the ethernet cord from their computer
which still runs on IE 6 and whatever decade old IE is in play, asking to be updated every 4 minutes.
So they re-rigged a bunch of this stuff, making my desk even smaller.

It just seems at every turn there's another "fuck you, buddy".
and I can't tell whether it's being manufactured or is just occurring.
All I know is this is going to be an extremely difficult year.

I am not going to go batshit crazy and blame "everyone else" or anyone for that matter.
I just want to do my job, really teach the kids, build relationships with any teachers or people that want that,
and then *get the fuck out of here.

I can always come back and say hello, if need be, but I honestly think that living on a
tiny little island in the west sea of Korea is like peeing into a ceiling fan.
Pretty pointless.
