The Rock Rolls
It is amazing how there's a never ending cycle of crap to get done. I try and be a driver about things and get rid of both the most critical or easiest ones first so that I can then focus on the problems that will likely take longer to solve, but it's sometimes hard, especially being on the other side of the planet from things where some problems pop up.
Case in point being with SCSU. I have had nothing but trouble from their website and logging in. Just back in December or January (or February, the days blend), I resubmitted my information to change to a new Star ID, which Minscu changed to for whatever reason. Not that it bothered me, since before, I needed something like three different usernames and three different passwords for SCSU. With the Star ID, it became only one, and I am okay with that.
But I wanted to register for a class this summer and needed confirmation from a Professor back home and whenever I email, it sometimes takes 2 weeks or longer to get a response. That makes things *really difficult.
And then just the other day I tried logging in and it said the Username or PW was incorrect. I tried and tried, finally clicked on the forgot my PW link, submitted my email, student number, and whatever else they needed, and they sent me a link to my email. I reset a new PW, it confirmed it, I clicked the link, went back to the site, and it says it's wrong.
Deep breaths.
On a lighter note, I am about 8 pounds away from being my lightest in many many years? I wish it would have been lower, but for whatever reason, it's slowing down. I *need to be good this coming weekend, as much as I would like to tear it up a bit. We have a 5 day weekend coming. I may fall off the wagon and eat a bit, but I am going to try and be steadfast about the drinking.
And might just go on a little road trip. Gyeongju? Busan? Andong? I just dunno. I think the roads will suck, though. Need to go see it while I can. Soon it's gonna be hot, or wet, or both, and then it's no fun. Basically, we're 1.25 months away from miserable weather (heat and humidity).
