I am thinking clock fast enough.
Yet another downside of teaching on Imja was revealed today.
There are two holidays coming up in the beginning of June. The 4th is election day and the 6th is Memorial Day. The 5th, for many schools, is a sandwich day that is usually (keyword) given as well, because really, why come for one day in the middle of a shit week when you could actually give people time to recuperate body and mind by giving them that extra day and a 5 day weekend.
My middle school was gracious enough to do so, however, I don't teach at the middle school on that Thursday, I teach at an elementary school that I just found out is not going to give that day off.
I *had planned to head north and see old friends again...but fuck that. And fuck this. The Sex Pistols were right.
